Defendant: Teemal Haridass, Brampton.

Charge: Part III Summons for violations under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without Certificate of Qualification.
Summary: On Feb. 26, 2015, Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers received a witness statement after receiving a complaint with regards to an unqualified individual working as an electrician in Brampton. Violations under the Ontario College of Trades And Apprenticeship Act, 2009 were found. One individual was confirmed to be performing work of an electrician – construction and maintenance (309A)/ electrician – domestic and rural (309C) while not having a Certificate of Qualification or being a member of the College.

On April 25, 2015, Haridass was charged for violation under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without Certificate of Qualification. He pleaded guilty on June 2, 2015.
