Sept. 25, 2014 – Charles Gregory Donaldson

Defendant: Charles Gregory Donaldson, 32, of Shelburne.

Charge: Part I Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 2 – individual engaging in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification.

Summary: On July 10, 2014 Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers responded to a complaint in regards to an individual performing work at a storage unit located in Shelburne. Donaldson was confirmed to be performing work of a truck and coach technician (310T) while not having a Certificate of Qualification or being a member of the College.

On Sept. 25, 2014, Donaldson pleaded guilty to the charges under sec. 2 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009.

The Ontario College of Trades is winding down as the government takes action to modernize the skilled trades and apprenticeship system.
