May 29, 2015 – Sabri Binjamin

Defendant: Sabri Binjamin, 51, of Windsor.

Charge: Part I Provincial Offence Notice, Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without Certificate of Qualification.

Summary: On Sept. 16, 2014, Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers conducted an inspection in Windsor.  Violations under the Ontario College of Trades And Apprenticeship Act, 2009 were found. One individual was confirmed to be performing work of a plumber (306A) while not having a Certificate of Qualification or being a member of the College.

On Sept. 16, 2014, Binjamin was charged for violation under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory without Certificate of Qualification. On Jan. 15, 2015, Bingamin failed to appear in court. The matter was re-opened and scheduled for an early resolution meeting on May 29, 2015. Binjamin failed to appear and was convicted in absentia.
