May 28, 2015 – Clearlite

Defendant: Clearlite, Collingwood.

Charge: Part I Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification.

Summary: On Jan. 22, 2014, Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers conducted an inspection at the Georgian Bay Club located in Clarksburg. Two individuals were confirmed to be performing work of an electrician – construction and maintenance (309A) while not having a Certificate of Qualification or being a member of the College.

On May 28, 2014, Clearlite pleaded guilty to the charges under sec. 4 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009.
