July 24, 2017 – Kadom Mahod Abbas AL SARI

Charge: Part I Provincial Offences Act notice for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 2 – individual engaging in compulsory trade – without Certificate of Qualification that is not suspended.

Summary: On April 29, 2016 Ontario College of Trades inspectors conducted an inspection at Hot Spot Tire, located at 70 Borden Avenue South, Kitchener ON. The inspectors determined that Kadom Mahod Abbas Al Sari was observed reinstalling a caliper onto a minivan, while he did not hold a Certificate of Qualification or a Statement of Membership in the compulsory trade of automotive service technician (310S) that is not suspended, and while he was not an apprentice in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement that is not suspended.

On July 24, 2017 Kadom Mahod Abbas Al Sari was convicted of the charge in a Kitchener court and ordered to pay a fine of $195 plus a $35 victim fine surcharge.

The Ontario College of Trades is winding down as the government takes action to modernize the skilled trades and apprenticeship system.
