Defendant: Manjit Rehal, 47, of Brampton.
Charge: Part III Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 2 – individual engaging in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification.
Summary: On June 6, 2015, Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers received information regarding work performed at a Wallaceburg residence. Rehal was confirmed to be performing work of an electrician – construction and maintenance (313A) and refrigeration and air conditioning systems mechanic (313A) while not having a Certificate of Qualification or being a member of the College.
On Jan. 6, 2016, Rehal pleaded guilty to the charge under sec. 2 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009.
