Defendant: Costanzo Borg, 49, of Kingston
Charge: Part I Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification.
Summary: On Aug. 18, 2015, Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers conducted an inspection at a commercial site located in Peterborough. Borg was confirmed to be performing work of an electrician – construction and maintenance (309A) while not having a Certificate of Qualification or being a member of the College.
On Dec. 10, 2015, Borg pleaded guilty to the charge under sec. 4 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009.
