Charge: Part I Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification.
Summary: On Dec. 4, 2014, Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers conducted an inspection at Malwa Welding & Fabrication Ltd., located in Brampton. Three individuals were confirmed to be performing work of auto body and collision damage repairers (310B) while not having a Certificate of Qualification or being members of the College.
On May 21, 2015, Spurba pleaded guilty to the charge under sec. 4 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009.
