Contraventions: Individual engaging in the practice of a compulsory trade without proper qualifications, contrary to section 2 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA) (2 contraventions).
Summary: On June 27, 2017, Ontario College of Trades inspectors conducted an inspection at 4 Elrose Avenue, Toronto ON. The inspectors determined that Adam Stankiewicz diagnosed and repaired the brake systems on two motor vehicles while he did not hold a Certificate of Qualification or a Statement of Membership in the compulsory trade of automotive service technician (310S) that is not suspended, and while he was not an apprentice in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement that is not suspended.
Notice of Contravention: On September 18, 2017, College inspectors issued two Notices of Contravention to Adam Stankiewicz of Mississauga, setting out two administrative penalties of $250 each. Mr. Stankiewicz had no other OCTAA Notices of Contravention issued to him in the three years preceding the date of the current notices.
