Contravention: Individual engaging in the practice of a compulsory trade without proper qualifications, contrary to section 2 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA).
Summary: On June 22, 2017, Ontario College of Trades inspectors conducted an inspection at 1550466 Malcorp Investments Inc. o/a Hunt Club Nissan Collision Centre, located at 9 Caesar Avenue, Nepean, ON. The inspectors determined that Eloeftherios Gijka was performing auto body work while he did not hold a Certificate of Qualification or a Statement of Membership in the compulsory trade of auto body and collision damage repairer (310B) that is not suspended, and while he was not an apprentice in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement that is not suspended.
Notice of Contravention: On November 3, 2017, a College inspector issued a Notice of Contravention to Eloeftherios Gijka of Nepean, setting out an administrative penalty of $250. Mr. Gijka had no other OCTAA Notices of Contravention issued to him in the three years preceding the date of the current notice.
