March 16, 2018 – Adam LIVINGSTONE

Contravention: Employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification, contrary to section 4 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA).

Summary: On September 12, 2017, Ontario College of Trades inspectors conducted an inspection at a residence in Oshawa, ON. The inspectors determined that an individual employed or engaged by Adam Livingstone participated in the installation of a new bathtub, including connecting drain and water supply pipes while said individual did not hold a Certificate of Qualification or a Statement of Membership in the compulsory trade of plumber (306A) that is not suspended, and while the individual was not an apprentice in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement that is not suspended.

Notice of Contravention: On March 16, 2018, a College inspector issued a Notice of Contravention to Adam Livingstone of Oshawa, ON, setting out an administrative penalty of $500. Mr. Livingstone had no other OCTAA Notices of Contravention issued to him in the three years preceding the date of the current notice.
