Contravention: Individual engaging in the practice of a compulsory trade without proper qualifications, contrary to section 2 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA).
Summary: On November 16, 2017, Ontario College of Trades inspectors conducted an inspection at Assured Brampton South Collision Inc., located at 57 Rutherford Road South, Brampton, ON. The inspectors determined that David Ewert Lambert removed LF fender and door and related components/trim, removed damaged sheet metal panels by drilling out welds, straightened panels and applied, sanded and reshaped filler to repair panels on a motor vehicle while he did not hold a Certificate of Qualification or a Statement of Membership in the compulsory trade of auto body and collision damage repairer (310B) that is not suspended, and while he was not an apprentice in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement that is not suspended.
Notice of Contravention: On January 4, 2018, a College inspector issued a Notice of Contravention to David Ewert Lambert of Mississauga ON, setting out an administrative penalty of $250. David Ewert Lambert had no other OCTAA Notices of Contravention issued to him in the three years preceding the date of the current notice.
