Contravention: Individual engaging in the practice of a compulsory trade without proper qualifications, contrary to section 2 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA).

Summary: On December 11, 2017, Ontario College of Trades inspectors conducted an inspection at 21 Hale Road, Unit 14, Brampton, ON. The inspectors determined that Donald Henry was repairing, reshaping, refitting and welding brakes in body panels to left side doors and the left quarter panel on a motor vehicle while he did not hold a Certificate of Qualification or a Statement of Membership in the compulsory trade of auto body and collision damage repairer (310B) that is not suspended, and while he was not an apprentice in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement that is not suspended.

Notice of Contravention: On February 12, 2018, a College inspector issued a Notice of Contravention to Donald Henry of Brampton ON, setting out an administrative penalty of $250. Mr. Henry had no other OCTAA Notices of Contravention issued to him in the three years preceding the date of the current notice.
