Contravention: Individual engaging in the practice of a compulsory trade without proper qualifications, contrary to section 2 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA).
Summary: On September 12, 2017, Ontario College of Trades inspectors conducted an inspection at 2515 Hurontario Street, Unit #2003, Mississauga, ON. The inspectors determined that Iwona Skowronska was applying hair colour to a female client for remuneration while she did not hold a Certificate of Qualification or a Statement of Membership in the compulsory trade of hairstylist (332A) that is not suspended, and while she was not an apprentice in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement that is not suspended.
Notice of Contravention: On December 1, 2017, a College inspector issued a Notice of Contravention to Iwona Skowronska of Mississauga, setting out an administrative penalty of $250. Ms. Skowronska had no other OCTAA Notices of Contravention issued to him in the three years preceding the date of the current notice.
