Important Member Notice in the event of a Canada Post Service Disruption.

The College advises avoiding sending time sensitive applications, forms, payments or other documents by Canada Post due to possible rotating Canada Post service disruptions. 

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has given Canada Post strike notices, meaning they could commence strike action as early as midnight on Monday, October 22, 2018. This may mean rotating postal strikes causing delays. The Ontario College of Trades (College) is advising all members and applicants to avoid sending time sensitive applications, forms, payments or other documents using Canada Post until the situation resolves.

Please remember any application and payment deadlines will continue to apply despite any postal service disruption.

While the possibility of a Canada Post service disruption remains, we strongly urge members and applicants to submit documents or payments to the College using one of the following methods:

  1. Pay in person,
  2. Online,
  3. By telephone or internet banking, or
  4. Through a Canadian bank or credit union.
